Four confirmed for Internship Grants

Four students have been confirmed for California Press Foundation internship grants. A panel of four Foundation reviewers selected the four from seven applicants.

The students, who demonstrated an exceptional interest in pursuing careers in the newspaper business in California, will receive a $2,500 educational grant when they begin their internship in 2017.

The students are required to pursue and secure the internship on their own at a CNPA-member company. Internships, which can occur in spring or summer, must be full time and last at least six weeks.

The 2017 interns, their hometowns and colleges are:

1. Sam Armanino, El Dorado; Humboldt State University, Arcata

2. Cresencio Rodriguez-Delgado, Fresno; Fresno City College

3. Molly Sullivan, Chico; CSU Chico

4. Elise Takahama, South Pasadena; Boston University

Applications are accepted each Fall from full-time 3.0+ GPA college sophomores, juniors or seniors pursuing newspaper journalism, advertising or marketing careers.
