Auburn Journal goes to twice-weekly

The Auburn Journal will go to a two-day print-publishing cycle — Sundays and Thursdays — beginning this Sunday, The Journal reports. It had been a five-day paper.

Gold Country Media Associate Publisher Bill Sullivan offers guidance to concerned readers, in Placer County and beyond: “The best way to contribute to the future of your local newspaper is support it. If you’re in the community, subscribe and get your friends to subscribe. If you are a business in the area, advertise with your community newspaper.”

In addition to The Journal, Sullivan oversees the Colfax Record, Lincoln News Messenger, Folsom Telegraph, Loomis News, Placer Herald and Roseville Press Tribune.
