California Local is Allied applicant

California Local has applied for CNPA Allied membership.

Chris Neklason is co-founder and CEO of the Santa Cruz-based, statewide news and civic information portal, founded in October 2020.

California Local aims to amplify crucial, bona fide local news and to supplement coverage where it is lacking. There are also revenue initiatives that might interest CNPA Members.

California Local’s leadership includes veterans of California’s news business. More at its blog.

Until confirmation by the CNPA Board of Directors, the applicant is a provisional member of CNPA and eligible for all the benefits of membership.
