California Publisher: In print (and digital) since 1922

UnnamedWith work commencing on production of the Fall issue of California Publisher, we thought it timely to remind members of the quarterly’s digital edition.

If you’re a newer reader, you might not know that 39 issues are easily viewable on your preferred digital device and indexed on the CNPA homepage. (Have you finished reading your Summer print edition, pictured above? Please share with a colleague.)

California Publisher was a key member offering in 1922 when CNPA was formed out of the Southern California Editorial Association. A magazine to start, it helped to unite the leaders of small papers and larger metros as they worked to cover their communities and manage all of the operations involved in producing a news product and making a profit.

California Publisher became a newspaper in the 1970s. And today, it shares compelling information about the industry and the association with leaders in your companies and your local offices.

CNPA’s Allied Members also have a key role. Vendors and suppliers to the trade appreciate the traditional method of sharing a marketing message via print. California Publisher is printed by Gold Country Printing in Auburn, on Brite paper that’s a bit pricier, and with color on all pages. It is mailed to key decision-makers at all CNPA-member offices, and to corporate leaders and executives at other state and regional news associations in the United States and Canada.

And it’s shared as an e-edition, courtesy of Allied Member Tecnavia and California Publisher’s own Apple developer license.

If you have some strategic leisure time, take your digital California Publisher for a spin.

And if you’re an Allied Member, it’s time to ensure that your message is part of the mix. Your Allied membership includes ad space. Contact us for details.

Thanks for reading. And keep it up: California Publisher just might be 100 in 2022.
