|Dailies: 15,001 - 50,000||Artistic Photo||First Place||The Fresno Bee||Fresno||Chateau Fresno Avenue||The texture and symmetry of this image - the vertical, horizontal and diagonal shadows, the tree detail, and the late afternoon Central Valley vibe - make it a clear winner.||Craig Kohlruss|
|Dailies: 15,001 - 50,000||Artistic Photo||Second Place||The Desert Sun||Palm Springs||Desert Sun: Bighorn Sheep||The image of a Bighorn ram sparring with a barrell cactus tells the story of strong, formidable, prickly desert survivors. Great shot.||Vickie Connor|
|Dailies: 15,001 - 50,000||Artistic Photo||Third Place||The Press Democrat||Santa Rosa||Lighting Up The Night||This image has strong visual impact, technical quality is good, and the challenge of the capture makes it a contender.||Kent Porter|
|Dailies: 15,001 - 50,000||Artistic Photo||Fourth Place||The Desert Sun||Palm Springs||Desert Sun: Off the road||Texture of lines of cars with green grass, colors of cars, cracks in pavement make this photo. The storytelling aspect is good when combined with the cutline, but it wouldn't be clear to the viewer without it.||Jay Calderon|
|Dailies: 15,001 - 50,000||Artistic Photo||Fifth Place||The Press-Enterprise||Riverside||Drive-thru Christmas||The color and technical aspects of this image are good.||Terry Pierson|
