    Contestant Name: Calistoga Tribune
    Entry Title: Bulls eye
    Entry Credit: Clark James Mishler
Judge Comment: I love this image. It does a great job of storytelling. The bull's face is wonderful. I do wish we could see the rider's face for some juxtaposing emotion, but otherwise I think this is a great capture.
  • Place Name: Second Place
    Contestant Name: Big Bear Grizzly
    Entry Title: Last tones
    Entry Credit: Judi Bowers
Judge Comment: This image is very strong. There's great emotion in his face and eyes. If only there was a tear rolling down, and maybe a bit more context that would show he's a firefighter.
  • Place Name: Third Place
    Contestant Name: The Ark
Entry Title: A place of healing
    Entry Credit: Matthew Hose
Judge Comment: I really enjoy the leading lines/repetitive patterns with the band stretching photo, as well as the woman's expression. It just feels a bit cluttered with the paintings behind them.
  • Place Name: Fourth Place
    Contestant Name: Claremont Courier
    Entry Title: Enter Here
    Entry Credit: Steven Felschundneff
Judge Comment: I enjoy the sense of joyful chaos in this image. I just really want to see the full faces of the people off to the right.
  • Place Name: Fifth Place

Judge Comment: I like the interaction of this photo. Just a lot going on in the background.
