  • Place Name: First Place
Contestant Name: San Jose City College-The Times
Entry Title: SJCC men’s basketball team scores this season with new head coach
    Entry Credit: Nubis DeVante
Judge Comment: The first-place winner stood out as it was a peak action basketball moment. Would have been muc stronger cropped tighter from top, but can see why the photographer left the reflection in, that's different and cool.
  • Place Name: Second Place
    Contestant Name: Las Positas College-Express
Entry Title: LPC's women's basketball against Chabot
    Entry Credit: Alan Lewis
Judge Comment: Second-place was kind of a regular moment, but had a good tight crop.
  • Place Name: Third Place
Contestant Name: Diablo Valley College-The Inquirer
Entry Title: Vikings’ Pivotal Win Keeps Men’s Basketball Team on Track with Championship Aspirations
    Entry Credit: Anthony Perry
Judge Comment: Third-place had some nice peak action, but like many in this category, suffered from lack of a tight crops to enhance the action.
  • Place Name: Fourth Place
Contestant Name: San Jose City College-The Times
    Entry Title: Men's basketball
    Entry Credit: Nubis DeVante
Judge Comment: An average going to the hoop moment, but stood out among other entries that didn't have peak action. Background was a bit cluttered.
  • Place Name: Fifth Place
Contestant Name: San Jose City College-The Times
    Entry Title: Softball team
    Entry Credit: Nubis DeVante
Judge Comment: Not much going on here for sports action, just a scene setter, but technically better quality than others in the category.
