This “small community weekly” has a metropolitan feel. The overall look gives a modern impression while maintaining a traditional news aesthetic.

    Judge Comment: The cover illustrations from Black Voice News are striking and engaging — in particular the illustration on the Civil Rights Institute, which is a challenging subject to visualize but was done extremely effectively with rich vibrancy and depth using what seemed like mostly archive images.
