  • Place Name: First Place
    Contestant Name: The Intermountain News
Entry Title: Sliming the Elementary School Principal
    Entry Credit: Jeannette Bucher
Judge Comment: Perfect capture of the principal being slimed. I am almost positive that the photographer may have been slimed themselves. The joy in the kids in the background also adds to the moment.
  • Place Name: Second Place
    Contestant Name: Claremont Courier
Entry Title: Celebrating the new camp director
    Entry Credit: Steven Felschundneff
Judge Comment: The nice moment of joy and love in the faces of the subjects is really conveyed in the image. The tight crop also brings the subjects to the front of the image and cleans up what could have been a distracting background.
  • Place Name: Third Place
    Contestant Name: Pacifica Tribune
    Entry Title: Clifford makes friends
    Entry Credit: Anna Hoch-Kenney
Judge Comment: Nice timing in the image to capture some of the birds in flight as the gentleman feeds them. The picture could have benefited from the photographer repositioning themselves to remove the flag pole dissecting the image and the cars in the parking lot.
