  • Place Name: First Place
    Contestant Name: Napa Valley Register
Entry Title: Photos: Take a look inside Napa's Connolly Ranch summer camps
    Entry Credit: Nick Otto
Judge Comment: Nice set of photos. Technically sound and tells a story. I got a sense of the day.
  • Place Name: Second Place
    Contestant Name: Napa Valley Register
Entry Title: Scenes from the Junior Livestock Auction at the Napa Town and Country Fair
    Entry Credit: Nick Otto
Judge Comment: Not bad. Lots of photos. Could be better with less. Although it told a story, it felt a little all over the place.
  • Place Name: Third Place
    Contestant Name: The Tribune
Entry Title: Nipomo softball comes back from 7-run deficit to score walk-off 9-8 playoff win
    Entry Credit: David Middlecamp
Judge Comment: Technically, good shots. Enjoyed the celebrations. It would have been good to see more action shots rather than just the celebrations.
  • Competition Comment: All 4 entries had decent stories. But I think the #1 gave a slightly better story than the rest.
