  • Competition Comment: For first place, the use of illustration/graphics conveyed a clear idea (shown well in the 1st and 3rd entries). In the 2nd entry, the strong portrait/cover lines were compelling. The portrait cover in particular made me want to open the magazine and read the story. For second place, the publication was able to convey a considerable amount of news and information in a clean-looking layout (for the first two entries). The third entry smartly went with an image and minimal copy for their HOME special section. Thank you! Jennifer Pardini
