At its June 27 Quarterly Meeting, the CNPA Board of Directors gave a first look at proposed revisions to the organization’s bylaws that would permit Digital News Members to have full participation as CNPA members, including voting and serving on the Board of Directors.

The proposal also includes provisions to admit magazines as members and would alter the ratio of daily and weekly board representation.

The revisions will be reviewed again at the Fall Quarterly Meeting and then, if approved, would be presented to the full membership for a vote in January.

Directors also reviewed the Governmental Affairs Committee’s legislative report, presented by Chairman Jeff Glasser. Updates on CNPA’s advocacy work are detailed weekly in the CNPA Legislative Bulletin (click to subscribe) and published online.

Directors approved a membership application from The Stanford Daily.
