California Journalism Awards

Winners to be announced May 18

The complete roster of California Journalism Awards winners will be published on CNPA.com on May 18. In the meantime, winners will be highlighted in a social-media rollout starting May 4 via Twitter and Facebook. Be sure to have your staff follow @CNPAservices on Twitter and @CNPAservices on Facebook to get the news first.

The three contests — Print, Digital and Campus — received 3,036 entries, up from last year’s 2,972 entries. The Digital Contest, now in its third year, received 699 entries, up 102 over last year. Print Contest entries totaled 1,927, down from last year’s 2,006. CNPA Campus members sent in 410 entries, up from 383 last year.

The contests covered publication dates between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2020.

While an in-person celebration is not scheduled this year, CNPA will publish a commemorative magazine honoring the contests’ exemplary work.

Monthly

Regional Meet-Up Program

CNPA hosts twelve Monthly Regional Meet Up’s intended to educate participants, in addition to providing networking opportunities. Participants represent all disciplines of the Industry across the State of California and include both
Members of CNPA and non-Members.

Each Regional Meet Up is tailored to a specific topic with a relevant speaker in an effort to create real solutions
promoted by in person collaboration. Regional Meet Ups
are conducted through Zoom and are limited to ten
participants to promote topic discussion and networking
opportunities.

These Meet Ups are free to the participant and
underwritten by series sponsors.

2021

Capital Conference

CNPA’s Annual Conference in Sacramento offers inspiration, collaboration, and networking opportunities. The three-day conference offers a chance to network with fellow colleagues during the opening night reception and another opportunity to network with your legislators and the following nights Legislative Reception.

The 2021 Capital Conference has been CANCELLED until further notice due to Covid-19.
