CNPA Legislative Update recap

The CNPA Governmental Affairs team gave a brief update on crucial issues at the Capitol last Thursday during our CNPA Member-Exclusive Webinar.

Advocates Jim Ewert, general counsel; and Brittney Barsotti, staff attorney, explained the latest strategies regarding AB5, protections for news gatherers, safeguarding public notices, subscription auto-renewals, proxy voting by legislators, cannabis advertising, and coroners’ reports and the California Public Records Act.

Our Capitol duo then took questions from the audience and from CNPA’s Joe Wirt and consultant Hud Englehart.  View recording
