The 2021 California Journalism Awards Contest is now open for entries. The contest is open to all CNPA Members.

As in past years, there are divisions for Print, Digital and Campus media outlets. New this year is the opportunity for individual freelance members to enter work that was published by CNPA-Member outlets.

Deadline for entries is 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2022. To provide more flexibility for members, CNPA has added an extended deadline of 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, but entry fees will be doubled after Feb. 21.

In addition to the traditional contest categories, again this year topical categories related to current events such as the continued COVID-19 pandemic, California wildfires and the recall election of Gov. Gavin Newsom have been added.
