President Ron Hasse has appointed Emily Charrier and John Diaz to the CNPA Board of Directors.
Charrier, publisher of Sonoma Media Investments’ Petaluma Argus-Courier and Sonoma Index-Tribune, is a former managing editor of The Argus-Courier and a former reporter at The Index-Tribune. She succeeds John Burns on the board. Burns, 2012 CNPA president, retired in July.
Diaz has been editorial opinion editor at Hearst’s San Francisco Chronicle since 1990. Previously, he was assistant city editor and East Bay Bureau chief.
On the CNPA Board, Diaz succeeds Brenda Speth, who had been publisher of Lee Enterprises’ Napa Valley Register and adjacent weeklies since 2005 and departed in June.
