As you gather entries for this year’s California Journalism Awards contests, go to our contest site to view out what the judges chose as the winners last year. That’s where you’ll also find the rules and other contest details.
The contest entry deadline is Feb. 7.
To give CNPA Members more time to gather and submit entries, the California Journalism Awards deadline has been extended to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14 without any late fees. The new late deadline is now 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, but entry fees will double after 9 p.m. Feb. 14.
If you have questions, contact Contest Administrator Lindsay Champion at contests@cnpa.com.
Meanwhile, if your team includes a new contest coordinator, consider viewing the recording of our CNPA Editors Forum from Dec. 15. The session, led by The Desert Sun’s Julie Makinen, covered new categories and details on the Print, Digital and Campus contests. Other points covered: contest timeline, the entry platform, rules and deadlines.
