CatchLight, a visual-first non-profit media organization, is looking to build a new collaborative resource hub for visual journalism in California, allowing small- to medium=size newsrooms to access and produce high-quality visual journalism (encompassing photography, video and data visualization) to bolster their audience and community engagement. This new program will launch in early 2022, in collaboration with CalMatters as well as other California newsrooms.

You can read more about CatchLight’s visual journalism efforts and past pilot programs in this story by the National Press Photographers Association and their impact in this story by the Annenberg Media Impact Project.
