Four apply for CNPA membership
Alenteshar Newspaper has applied for Active membership in CNPA. Fatmeh Atieh Bakhit is publisher of the Los Angeles-based weekly, founded in 1999.
India-West has applied for Active membership in CNPA. Ramesh Murarka is publisher of the San Leandro-based weekly, founded in 1975.
San Francisco Bay Area Korean Community News has applied for Active membership in CNPA. Dong Kim is publisher of the Richmond-based weekly, founded in 2017.
Until confirmation by the CNPA Board of Directors, the applicants are provisional members of CNPA and are eligible for all the benefits of membership.
In their applications, the publishers indicated their reasons for joining CNPA include helping to protect the interests of California news media at the State Capitol, utilizing CNPA’s free Legal Help Line and entering the California Journalism Awards.
