Franco is executive editor at Desert Sun

Franco, with the company since 2000, had been managing editor since 2019. She succeeds Julie Makinen, who became executive editor at The San Francisco Standard, a CNPA Digital News Member applicant.

Makinen, CNPA’s chairperson-elect, had been executive editor at The Desert Sun since 2018.
