The Oklahoma Press Association once again offers a disaster-readiness checklist to CNPA members.
“Every year one of our members (or their community) gets crushed by some disaster, typically weather-related,” OPA Executive Director Mark Thomas says. “They persevere and display heroism and grit as they cover the news for their entire community, never missing an issue. But when their newspaper office is hit by a disaster they are oftentimes unprepared.
“This checklist might make them think about some of the things they need to consider so that’s why we make it available to anyone. Feel free to use it, improve it, steal it, or whatever you want to do with it.”
