Free stuff: First Amendment panel Dec. 5

The First Amendment Coalition has confirmed the panel for its public forum on Dec. 5 in San Francisco.

The discussion, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, precedes the California Press Foundation’s 142nd Annual Winter Meeting at the Marines’ Memorial Club & Hotel. Cal Press is a Major Supporter of FAC.

“California vs. the First Amendment” will feature D. Victoria Baranetsky, general counsel, Center for Investigative Reporting; Audrey Cooper, editor in chief, San Francisco Chronicle; Jim Ewert, CNPA general counsel; and Noah Griffin, columnist. Moderator: David Snyder, executive director, First Amendment Coalition.

The forum is free, but attendees must register.
