Cal Western Circulation Managers Association (CWCMA) and Northwest International Circulation Executives (NICE), two longstanding organizations with members in media companies in 11 western states, offer their first webinar in a series of three this year.

Scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, the focus will be “Maximizing Your Carrier Recruitment Strategy.”

This free webinar is available to members and non-members of these organizations. Click for more information or to register.

Moderated by Jim Wall from The McClatchy Co., this informative webinar will feature two experienced home delivery executives sharing strategies and solutions to recruit and retain independent delivery contractors.

George Dyevoich of Advance Publications and Dava Amador of Sonoma Media Investments will provide real-world tips and tools for this important topic.

“We are excited to be partnering with NICE to provide our industry colleagues with examples of what others are doing to meet the challenge of maintaining a quality independent contractor delivery force in an era of extremely tight labor markets,” said Troy Niday, president of CWCMA and chief operating officer of Sonoma Media Investments.

“The overall customer experience has a greater impact on retention and revenue than ever before. In this digital world, delivery to the doorstep has got to be consistent and reliable. A stable carrier force makes a huge difference in that customer experience.”

“Recruiting and retaining independent contractors that can consistently provide world-class service is an ongoing challenge,” said Jim Wall, NICE president and McClatchy director of Audience Budgeting.

“Contractors greatly impact our subscriber experience and the operational stability of the newspaper. This webinar will help give you the tools needed to build and maintain a solid delivery operation.”

The second webinar will be held on Wednesday, April 24. Watch for details about upcoming events.
