This is the first year that individual freelance journalists have the opportunity to enter work in the California Journalism Awards Contest.
Work published by freelancers in CNPA member publications in 2021 is eligible.
Deadline for entries is 9 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022. To provide more flexibility for members, CNPA has added an extended deadline of 9 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2022, but entry fees will be doubled after February 21.
There are dozens of categories in Print and Digital divisions. Also, again this year there is a Campus division.
