CNPA President Paulette Brown-Hinds, chair of the Gala Committee, welcomed guests, and 2005 President Will Fleet was master of ceremonies.

Among the hundreds of awards announced was a new contest for digital media.

Please view our contest page for an online gallery of the top five winners in each category.

The Winners Gallery includes links to the winners’ stories, photos, videos and pages from the contest, as well as the judges’ comments about the winners.

The Winners Gallery is provided by BetterBNC from SmallTownPapers, a CNPA Allied member.

For contest winners, be sure to use our online tables of winners to quickly find more information about the awards. The online tables also include comments from judges, when given.

Program note: A continuity error omitted the Campus winners from the Gala slideshow. We have posted that portion of the slideshow on our YouTube channel.

A reminder: The Long Beach gala marked a schedule change in CNPA’s annual events. CNPA’s annual awards previously were presented on the final afternoon of the CNPA Press Summit.

Starting this year, the annual industry meeting was combined with the annual Legislative Forum to create the CNPA Capital Conference, which occurred in February in Sacramento. Here’s a recap.
