Heads up: National Newspaper Week is Oct. 3-9
The 81st annual National Newspaper Week, Oct. 3-9, is a recognition of the service of newspapers and their employees across North America.
“Community Forum” is this year’s theme. Commentaries, cartoons and house ads are now available for use free of charge. Please consider publishing an observance or two.
Also, consider making it local by editorializing about your newspaper’s unique relevance. This can be about your duties as government watchdog, your role as a community forum and coverage of community events, publication of timely public notices, etc.
National Newspaper Week is a recognition of the service of newspapers and their employees across North America. It is sponsored by Newspaper Association Managers, the consortium of North American trade associations representing the industry. CNPA is a NAM Member.
