Highland Community News signs off

News

Century Group Media’s Highland Community News went out of print with its April 22 issue, the newspaper reported. The Friday weekly was founded in 1995.

Century Group Bean cited rising costs and the economic climate caused by COVID-19 as factors in the decision to close the paper, which is the smallest in the group.

“We looked at several other forms of publication, but none made sense from service and financial viewpoints,” said Bean, 2006 CNPA president.
