Carolyn Ruszkiewicz, a former managing editor at the Press-Telegram in Long Beach, died May 9, 2023, at home in Seal Beach, the newspaper reported. She was 76 and had cancer.
“I swear she was born with ink in her veins and reader service in her heart,” former Executive Editor Rich Archbold wrote. “There was nothing she would not do for readers. She invented customer service at the Press-Telegram, long before it became an industry byword.”
