In Memoriam: Michael Parks, 78

Unnamed (3)Michael Parks, former top editor at the Los Angeles Times, died Jan. 8, 2022, of kidney failure and a heart attack, The Times reported. He was 78.

Parks, who received the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting, was top editor at The Times from 1997 to 2000. Parks then taught at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism for 20 years and served two stints as director of its journalism school.
