In Memoriam: Paul Nyberg, 89

UnnamedPaul Nyberg, who co-owned the weekly Los Altos Town Crier for 26 years, died Aug. 2, 2021, after a lengthy illness, The Town Crier reports. He was 89.

Paul and Liz Nyberg had owned The Town Crier from 1993 to 2019. “They were also both social butterflies, attending various community events virtually every day of the week,” The Town Crier said.

Paul Nyberg had a lengthy career in magazines prior to the couple’s newspaper acquisition, the obituary said. He was president of the western division for Homes & Land Magazine and later founded two other successful publications, Design & Interiors and Renter’s Digest.

He served on the CNPA Board of Directors in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Dennis Young and Howard Bischoff are now co-owners and co-publishers of The Town Crier.
