In Memoriam: Raúl Camacho Sr., 84

Raúl Camacho Sr., the founder and publisher of El Popular, a CNPA Member in Bakersfield, died June 27, 2021, at his home, El Popular reported. He was 84.

Camacho founded El Popular in 1983. His son George has been publisher since 2007.

“After retiring several years ago, Don Raúl continued his presence in the offices of the newspaper, located in the center of the city, every morning to continue sharing his experience and, above all, to inspire,” the article said.
