Tim Rutten, “a deep thinker with a puckish sense of humor,” died Sept. 28, 2022, the Los Angeles Times reported. He was 72 and was found dead after a fall at his Alhambra home.
“Rutten used his ‘Regarding Media’ column to untangle the complexities of L.A., the nation’s culture wars and the eccentricities of media stars,” The Times’ obituary said.
Rutten was with The Times from 1972 to 2011 and later was a columnist at the Los Angeles Daily News.
