Judges from publications that entered this year’s contests will work through April 17th to determine the top three entrants in the California Journalism Awards’ various categories and divisions.
The California Journalism Awards uses the BetterBNC contest system from CNPA Allied Member SmallTownPapers, Inc. All judging is performed digitally.
A select group of out-of-state judges will review the following categories:
- General Excellence
- Enterprise News Story or Series
- Feature Story
- In-Depth Reporting
- Investigative Reporting
- Public Service Journalism
