Julia Millon, a reporter and contributing editor at the Winters Express, died May 28, 2018, in a car accident, The Sacramento Bee reported. She was 27 and was to begin last week as The Express’ managing editor.

“Julia’s passing is a terrible loss for the Express and our community,” Publisher Taylor Buley said in a statement. “Please join us in keeping a good thought about this tremendous journalist. Our entire staff — and soon, perhaps, much of the community — is in mourning. We send our thoughts, prayers and condolences to Julia’s family. Julia will be tremendously missed.”
