Kaiser Health News, a nonprofit news service committed to in-depth coverage of health care policy and politics, has applied for Digital News Media membership in CNPA.
Its key contact is David Rousseau, VP and executive director of Health Policy Media and Technology.
The CNPA Board of Directors will vote on Kaiser Health News’ membership application at its quarterly meeting this Friday in Berkeley. In the meantime, Kaiser Health News is considered a provisional member with full benefits.
According to its bylaws, CNPA considers Digital News Media members those who post “news and information of a local character, using digital media that may include the internet, websites, mobile and tablet technology. Online publications can be paid or free news websites or electronic news publications with at least 50 percent local news content, rather than aggregated, copied or reprinted from other sources, with a substantial portion produced by local staff in California.”
