March 10 was the last run for the Los Angeles Times Olympic printing facility, the newspaper reported.
Printing will shift to Southern California News Group’s Press-Enterprise press facility in Riverside.
The Times Olympic presses — six of them — had operated since 1990 and were capable of printing nearly 60,000 newspapers an hour.
“When you get ink in your veins, there’s nothing like the roar of the presses going at full speed,” former press room manager Jack Boethling said.
