Lyons, Nelson are new CNPA directors

5The CNPA membership in April elected Silas Lyons to the CNPA Board of Directors. The election of Lyons and re-election of officers and directors was presented to a digital vote by Active Members of the association and tallied at the Annual Business Meeting on April 29.

Lyons is executive editor of the Record Searchlight in Redding and regional executive editor of eight Gannett newsrooms in Northern California and Nevada. He replaces Steve Nakutin.

4CNPA Chairman Simon Grieve has appointed Colleen McCain Nelson to the Board of Directors.

Nelson is executive editor of The Sacramento Bee and regional editor for McClatchy’s California newsrooms. She succeeds Lauren Gustus on the board.
