Peg Johnson, 84

Peg Johnson, former editor and publisher of the weekly Santa Ynez Valley News, died Dec. 30, 2021, in Nevada, The Valley News reports. She was 84.

Johnson owned the newspaper from 1975 to 2004. She was a former member of the CNPA Board of Directors.

Johnson retired to Nevada, said granddaughter Kenda Hopkins, because “she loved the desert, country music and international travel. So she moved to Las Vegas for the hot weather and to live close to an airport.”
