Sonoma County Gazette sold

Sonoma Media Investments has acquired the monthly Sonoma County Gazette from Vesta Copestakes, its publisher and owner, The Press Democrat in Santa Rosa reports.

The Forestville-based Gazette publishes 72 pages monthly with content iwritten by readers who have knowledge and/or expertise in the subject matter of their articles.

“I am thrilled to tell our readers and contributors that there is life for the Gazette after me,” Copestakes said. “I was afraid that finding someone to carry on the Gazette’s tradition of community-generated content would be impossible until I talked to everyone at Sonoma Media Investments. I’m now confident the Gazette will be in good hands.”

Sonoma Media Investments also publishes the Petaluma Argus-Courier, The Sonoma Index-Tribune, Sonoma Magazine, Spirited Magazine and La Prensa Sonoma.
