Street racer who killed editor gets 15 years to life

The drunken street race who killed Eugene “Gene” Harbrecht, pictured, a Southern California News Group editor, in 2020 received a sentence of 15 years to life in prison on Oct. 7, The Orange County Register reports.

Harbrecht had served with The Register since 1984 and most recently had been SCNG’s national and international wire editor.
