Amid losses in advertising revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic and local stay-at-home orders, Times Community News’ Glendale News-Press, Burbank Leader and La Cañada Valley Sun are ending production this month, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The Burbank and Glendale papers, founded in 1905, had been owned by The Times since 1993. The La Cañada paper, founded in 1946, was acquired by the Times in 2005.
The group’s Daily Pilot and TimesOC will continue publishing in Orange County.
